UPDATE: Originally this had 4 stars. It now has 1 star. It would be ZERO if I could. This cage badly wounded my cockatiel. She was crawling on the side of the cage and the wire that holds on the doors to the cage (that slide open to put the food) stabbed through the bottom (where the skin is) of my birds beak and up into her mouth. We had to rush her to the vet where she is now being monitored. Very serious. She was stuck to the side of the cage by the wire and we had to pull the wire out of her skin to get her off the side of it. It punctured in her mouth right below her tongue. Very scary. While the cage bars are sturdy. The construction of the sliding doors are deadly.I left the original review below:"Great customer service. A piece was missing and they shipped it out right away when we told them.Its a very sturdy cage and not flimsy like a lot of cages. We were having a ton of trouble finding a good solid one like our other cages in the stores now. Finally came across this one because it was similar to our other bird's cage.I like how the door comes down, but the reason I knocked off a star was because the door is hard to open. Where the latch squeezes in to close it has scraped off some of the enamel. Because its in a spot that is always covered, i'm not worried about it too much. I have another similar style like this and it doesn't do it, so i'm assuming its a fluke that just happened to our cage.Overall, this is a wonderful cage; sturdy and roomy. Perfect size for our Cockatiel. I love the rounded top."
